Mediaproxy, a leading media data aggregation and orchestration company, has announced a strategic partnership with Skyline Communications, the developer of the DataMiner transformation platform. The collaboration aims to enhance data analysis capabilities for customers of both companies.
The integration between Mediaproxy’s LogServer and Skyline’s DataMiner began in 2017, initially focusing on the data collection control panel of the Skyline system. Over the past year and a half, the engineering teams of both companies have worked closely to improve connectivity and streamline the process of accessing and utilizing data obtained from the interaction between the two systems.
DataMiner is a comprehensive data acquisition, control, and orchestration platform that offers real-time monitoring and analytical capabilities. It incorporates advanced features such as artificial intelligence for forecasting, anomaly detection, and automatic incident tracking. The platform’s vendor-, protocol-, and technology-agnostic nature allows it to create a digital twin of the entire infrastructure and operation.
Through the integration with LogServer, DataMiner can access information recorded on the platform, including details about programs and commercials distributed on specific networks. This aggregated data provides broadcasters with a comprehensive view of their transmissions and audience reach.
The successful integration between LogServer and DataMiner was first demonstrated at the NAB Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. It will be showcased again at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam, where both Mediaproxy (Stand 5.D72) and Skyline Communications (Stand 1.A57) will present the latest developments resulting from their collaboration.
“We aim to show our users a real-life use case, highlighting the existing connector between LogServer and DataMiner, along with a customizable data consumption layer that can analyze SCTE triggers in a stream and filter information about media status,” stated a representative from Mediaproxy.
The partnership between Mediaproxy and Skyline Communications has evolved into a formal collaboration over the past year, bringing the two companies closer together. Further integration with third-party products is anticipated as part of this ongoing collaboration.
